Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Pain Management is a medically recognized and recommended treatment for managing pain, reducing inflammation and promoting healing.

The studies show that patients may feel a reduction in pain after just one session. Multiple sessions can hasten healing and provide long term pain reduction. Combining Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) with traditional treatments will show faster relief. The treatments are completely painless and non-invasive, with sessions typically lasting 10 to 12 minutes and have been approved by the U.S. FDA 510K and Health Canada for the treatment of pain and chronic pain disorders.

Our non-invasive and non-sedative-based therapies are safe for patients of all ages. As these are drug-free treatments there is no risk of addiction and you can receive laser therapy for pain management regardless of ongoing treatment and pre-existing conditions.

Common causes of Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is caused by the straining and inflammation of the connective tissue (plantar fascia) between the heel bone and toes.

The cause of inflammation may be unknown but could be related to:

  • Recently started exercising on hard surfaces
  • Exercise with a tight calf or heel – very common in runners
  • Repeated stretching and tearing can irritate or inflame the fascia
  • Lot of walking, running or standing up
  • Wear inadequate shoes with poor cushioning or support
  • Being overweight

Wide range of benefits

  • Promote natural healing
  • Reduce pain
  • Accelerate cell growth
  • Increase metabolic activity in cells
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Improve joint mobility
  • Increase vascular activity
  • Reduce the formation of fibrous tissue

Patients might feel instant results and a reduction in pain after just one session.

Setting up Goals with our Health Team

Patients will meet our Health Team to understand their conditions. We will take a medical history, assess any ongoing treatment or pre-existing condition, and design a personalized pain management program.

Before the Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Pain treatment

You do not need to prepare for the treatment in any way. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) does not require sedation or medication. The process is completely non-invasive. Each treatment session typically lasts 10-15 minutes.

During the treatment

A low power laser will be applied externally on the affected area. This will penetrate painlessly through the soft tissue and stimulate the cells underneath, activating the mitochondria. The cells will undergo a natural biological process and will accelerate the process of healing by reducing inflammation, promoting blood flow and regeneration. You will experience no pain during the treatment.
Patients will see and feel results after just one session. With regular sessions, you will observe significant pain reduction. Many patients will reduce their pain between 30% – 40% within the 1st session and most patients will reduce their pain between 80% – 100% after treatment completion.
